DESIRE

Write about DESIRE. Write about something that you absolutely had to have at some point in your life. GoGo boots, harmonica lessons, a pierced navel, a purple VW bug, the boy in the last row. Describe the person or object, remember the feeling of longing. Write from the center of that desire.

Did you get what you longed for? Was it as satisfying, as wonderful as you'd imagined? Better? Was it disappointing? If so, how? Be specific. Write incorporating all of your senses, add as much texture to what you felt, smelled, saw, tasted, heard as possible. If you can't remember, make it up. See where the writing takes you. . . .

and

please,

always,

Enjoy!
