THE LAKESHORE WORKSHOP:Lakeshore Writers offers Creative Writing Workshops in the Amherst Artists and Writers method. The workshops are designed to motivate, inspire and support writers in all genres, from beginner to advanced.

CRAFT CLASSES In craft classes, we create and shape short stories while exploring the art and joy of writing. Each meeting focuses on a specific area of craft: Getting Started, Character, POV, Setting, Plot, Dialog, Prose, Revision. We explore craft through writing exercises, reading and discussing masterpiece short stories and writing in response to prompts to generate new story ideas and to more fully develop character, setting and plot.

Lakeshore Writers Workshops and Classes are based upon the belief that every person has a unique, original voice and that writing is an art form that belongs to all people.

MANUSCRIPT CRITIQUE AND PRIVATE CONSULTATION SERVICES Opportunities are available to work one-on-one with Teresa to focus on a particular project, receive specific constructive critique and to get feedback and support for your writing goals.

The goal of the workshops is to provide a structured environment for writing practice and the development of craft, to generate new material and to support the development and progress of each writer's ongoing work.
